Go Offline \u2013 No Digital Media Until Age 4<\/h1>\n\n\t

Digital media are everywhere\u2014even in our children\u2019s early years. But especially during this sensitive phase, children need, above all, closeness, play, language, and relationships with real people. Our community initiative raises awareness among parents and caregivers about the mindful use of digital devices and shows how children can experience more and thrive without electronic media.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\t \n\t \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Why no digital media until age 4?<\/span><\/h2>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Children under the age of four learn through all their senses\u2014for example, by playing, touching, looking, listening, and speaking. Media consumption hinders their social, intellectual, physical, and language development. What children need instead are deep relationships with real people.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/div>\n\t\t\t

Who is behind Go Offline?<\/h2>\n

Several schools and municipalities in Zurich have developed this project in collaboration with experts in early childhood education, care, and upbringing (FBBE).
